So this week's spotlight goes to... To love ru
To love ru is a long running series from previous decade and has a very strong cult following and it's here to stay . Until today there are still ovas being produced.
The cast of characters are as diverse as they come . Clear statement of it's long running status.
Let's introduce our core cast .
Yuuki Rito
Birthday: October 16
Age: 16
Height: 164.5 cm
Weight: 62 kg
Rito Yuuki is the main male protagonist of To Love-Ru. He is a normal brown haired 16 year old student of Sainan High, and he has a big crush on Haruna Sairenji. He attempted numerous times to confess to her but has met with failure each time. Rito used to be on the soccer team in junior high and was quite good, but quit because he was constantly helping his father with his mangaka duties, thus did not want to leave his little sister Mikan Yuuki alone in the house. Mikan comments he is very good at the most "useless little things", like crane and festival games (e.g. hoops, catching fish, squirt guns). Along with the numerous useless little things Rito is good at, he is also an accomplished florist, gardener, and horticulturalist.
Rito's nature is borderline clumsy, where he always ends up ogling or groping the many girls in the series (though mostly unintentionally). It is only by accident that he encounters and despite his enduring feelings for Haruna, Rito shows signs of developing deeper affection towards Lala a troublesome character that at first pretends to show affectionate feelings for Rito Yuki through the beggining of the story. As the story progresses he starts to show affection for Lala but is unsure if what he feels is actually love. This is shown again when he couldn't help but think about Lala even though he was with a naked Haruna. It is recently revealed that he is in love with Lala, but he is also in love with Haruna. At the end of the series, he confesses to Lala, but tells her he also loves Haruna, yet she is happy on both parts. He is confused as polygamy is illegal in Japan where Lala replied that once he is king of the universe the laws of earth no longer apply and forces him to go tell Haruna (strapping a jet pack to his back). Right before he was about to tell her, she moves out of the way, just like when he confessed to her very early in the series, leading him to state "I love you" to all of the female cast with the exception of Momo, Mikan, Golden Darkness, and Haruna herself. The ending implies that his "love" troubles will continue on into the future.
This is our main guy. And he has a very peculiar ability of getting into pervy moments. Which has him beaten up most of the time and makes you wonder if he's lucky or not. Though the prospect entices him, he does not stray away from his morals. In other words he is Buddha personified.
Lala Satalin Deviluke
Birthday: July 7
Age: 16
Height: 165cm
Weight: 50.5kg
Size: 89 - 57 - 87
Zodiac sign: Cancer
Princess of Deviluke. Ran away from home so she doesn't have to get married. Uses many self-made inventions. At first she was pretending to love Rito to keep from getting married, but eventually she fell in love with him. She has physical abilities far beyond that of a human and also has a distinctive tail coming from her back (which is very sensitive).
Being an alien, Lala has far more strength, power and speed than the average human. Her physical strength (without any inventions or powers) surpasses any human on Earth, and maybe even some aliens in the solar system. She has also shown slight durability even with her own tongue, like when she ate one of Run's really spicy sandwiches and it didn't even phase her.
She can fire laser beams from her tail. However, her tail is both her weapon and her weakness. On Planet Deviluke, females' tails are far more sensitive than males'. When someone touches Lala's tail, she becomes weak and seems to lose her strength, though she can shake anyone off of her tail with her astonishing strength.
Perhaps Lala's most distinguishing ability is being an extraordinary inventor. She is considered a genius and has made many inventions; however, Lala very much has the personality of both a perky child and an absent-minded scientist, resulting in all of her inventions being very toy-like, troublesome, and serving no important purpose besides fun, mischief, and unintentional fanservice. A running gag in the plot is that her inventions usually do not work as well as Lala and the others had hoped, often resulting into a perverted accident.
One of the Main heroine at the start of the start of the series. She's in a word, pure hearted and very childlike but has a very loving part of her personality. She invents lots of things that becomes the central part of the story at start but as the series goes we dive into her arc and understand her better.
And yes she's best girl for me.
Sairenji Haruka
Birthday: March 6
Height: 160 cm
Weight: 50 kg

Haruna Sairenji is the second female protagonist of To Love Ru and one of Rito's classmates and the girl of his affections. Haruna has similar feelings for him, having been attracted to his kind, gentle nature since junior high. Despite her growing love for Rito, which she believes to be unrequited, she usually suppresses her feelings and cannot confess to him because of her friendship with Lala who also loves Rito. However, with some encouragement, she tells Lala of her ordeal, to which Lala accepts, claiming Haruna as her rival for Rito's heart, while remaining friends. She lives with her older sister Akiho Sairenji in an apartment and has a severe fear of ghosts and the supernatural, the exception being Oshizu Murasame but only to an extent.
When frightened, she has a habit of grabbing the nearest thing around her – typically Rito – and swinging him wildly, in an attempt to get rid of whatever frightens her. There is also a running gag to where Rito is about to confess to her, only for something (or someone) to come between it. She lives with her older sister in an apartment.
A highly responsible person, Haruna's personality can sway her classmates' hearts to vote for her as their class representative, even when she did not run to be a candidate. She is affiliated with the tennis club and a southpaw
She is Rito's best girl at the start of the series. Someone who screams cute girl. Though Rito tried to confess his feelings for her countless of times, in never came to fruition due to accidents. She secretly harbors feelings for him too but does not say it .
These are our main core cast at the start . Watch it and you will see Rito's world to be turned upside down as more girls attack to claim his affection . A definite must watch for people who is a fan of harem genre .
